Saturday mornings 10 to 11:30 am

Journey inside moving life energy. Increase flexibility, relaxation, balance and concentration. Strengthen and enliven the body and spirit. Bring the inner smile out. Experience meditation in motion. Open to all levels. We warmup with Qigong and then transition to the Yang style long form Tai Chi set.

We will meet outside weather permitting, so please bring hat, sunglasses, windbreaker, etc.

Instructor, Fern Jeffcoat has taught Qigong and Tai Chi since 1993. She also practices and teaches Raja Yoga meditation. Fern combines movement, breathing and meditation to facilitate the integration of soul and body, which helps to ease into a state of health and wellness.

Class for new students starts on the date noted. Otherwise, class is on a drop-in basis. Contribution $10. Please check with our staff for details.

Wisdom Guardian Gathering opens the door to our own inner wisdom. Come and re-discover, awaken and connect to the deeper meaning of spirituality and the world around you. This is a day to be inspired by thought-leaders, authors, spiritual teachers, and health care practitioners. We will listen to their spiritual journey and how their innate wisdom has guided them through heroic transitions, face life’s tough situations and obstacles, and to create a better world.  The day will include, group discussion, reflection, meditation, and experiential exercises.

Guest Facilitator: Kiran Mani, is a Managing Director at Google. Kiran has had an interesting career - He is a qualified public accountant and a chartered financial Analyst. Yet, he started his career in advertising and as a radio jockey. He has worked for large corporations like IBM and Microsoft, managed multi-billion dollar business units with global teams spread across 25+ countries. And he has bootstrapped & sold a start-up of his own. Through these professional and personal experiences, he has learned, unlearned and relearned the art of managing himself and leading people. He believes the worlds of compassion, fun and business should co-exist to create true lasting value. Join us on a journey of “Leading the Self.”

Learn empowering methods and activities that create peace, respect, and positive social and emotional skills in young people through a comprehensive values education approach being implemented in more than 60 countries.

Topics Covered:

  • Reflect on values and a process to help kids, from toddlers to teens, explore and develop values of peace, love, respect, responsibility, tolerance, honesty, cooperation and happiness.
  • Refine active listening skills to help young people learn to listen to and process their own emotions
  • Enjoy learning attitudes and skills to build positive, healthy relationships with children and grow their resiliency 
  • Experience relaxation/focusing exercises that help young people be more centered and better able to self-regulate
  • Learn activities and skills to build a culture of peace and harmony  (Which drastically reduces conflict and bullying, of course!)
  • Help motivate young people to make positive choices and learn to stop bullying while protecting them from being radicalized

Facilitators: Diane Tillman, Annie Jorgensen, and Kyoko Kimura

Diane Tillman is a former School Psychologist, Licensed Educational Psychologist, MFT and the primary author of the award-winning Living Values Series of books, newly revised. Her most recent book is “Nurturing with Love and Wisdom, Disciplining with Peace and Respect: A mindful guide to parenting”.

Annie Jorgensen, M.S. in Educational Counseling, is an LVE Facilitator and a retired primary teacher and special education teacher who taught LVE for over 10 years, with stellar results. She is a wealth of experience and grounded in her years of experience working with people of all ages.

Kyoko Kimura, BA in Music Education and MA in flute performance. She facilitates workshops and retreats on virtues, Positive Thinking, Stress Free Living, Inner Beauty, Inner Bliss and Self-Empowerment. She also teaches values lessons through music at public schools in San Francisco, and facilitates summer camps for children and adolescents in the greater Bay Area.
